Visible from the street and from the neighbouring terraces, the artist, as if he was a modern stylobate, seats the whole day on the ledge of the roof terrace of the Museum . Chironi observes the Vesuvius with a book of the Dolomites under his arm. He wears civilian clothes and the equipment of a climber which is apparently out of contest. The artist, as a metropolitan climber, establishes a personal and empathetic relationship with the area immediately around the museum and with the city itself. The performance is a long lasting action at which’s climax Chironi will shout a at specified times. The echo of this shout, similar to the one that spreads in the mountain valleys and guaranteed by a powerful sound system, aims to reach the entire city as well as the inner rooms of the Museum, establishing a primal and imaginary dialogue with the surrounding urban fabric, and also an ironic ideal bridge between South and North of Italy, from Vesuvius to Dolomites.

Visibile dal basso e dai balconi limitrofi, l’artista, moderno stilobate, siede l’intera giornata sul muretto esterno della terrazza del Museo, all’ultimo piano dell’edificio. Chironi guarda il Vesuvio e indossa abiti borghesi, ha un libro sulle Dolomiti sotto il braccio, e una spiazzante attrezzatura tecnica da scalatore. Alla stregua di un “alpinista metropolitano”, l’artista instaura un rapporto personale ed empatico con il territorio che circonda il museo e la città stessa. Un’azione di lunga durata, al cui culmine Chironi emanerà ad intervalli prestabiliti un urlo la cui eco, simile a quello che si diffonde nelle valli delle montagne e garantita da un potente impianto sonoro, mira a raggiungere tutta la città e parallelamente le sale interne del Museo, stabilendo un dialogo immaginario e primordiale con il tessuto urbano circostante, ma anche un ironico ponte ideale tra Sud e Nord dell’Italia, dal Vesuvio alle Dolomiti.
